The University of Law
Graduation Ceremony
My task was to create a unique identity and design materials for The University of Law’s student graduation ceremony. While incorporating the university’s core brand, I infused the event with its own distinct flair related to graduation. The highlight of the ceremony was a specially designed brochure containing the names of the graduates, intended to be a cherished keepsake. In addition to the brochure, I was responsible for designing video screens, and directional signage to guide students and family members at the event’s location, The Barbican in London. To generate excitement leading up to the ceremony, I crafted a social media campaign featuring static, animated, and video posts to showcase this event.
The final identity exuded sophistication and modernity, employing gradients and key lines to create depth. The centrepiece of the identity was a graduation mortar hat key line enclosed within repeating diamond shapes. To enhance the event experience, I created video assets displayed on large screens within the event hall. These videos featured carefully curated footage from previous graduation ceremonies, artfully edited into a captivating montage. Animated graphics seamlessly integrated the unique identity we created.
